help please

i was just wondering if anyone could helpme figure out the problem with my car.

i just rebuilt my engine and everything was going fine.but now that there are about 2000 miles on the motor my carmisses from about 2k -4.5k rpms.

sometimes it is really bad when im at 1/2 throttle the car stalls so bad that it will not go anywhere and will loosespeed untill i push the pedal to the floor.

a couple of weeks ago the car overheated because my water pump was leaking but i put another on it.

but now my temp gauge fluctuates.any help would be much appreciated.

Run ECU diags and check for codes.

well what codes should i be looking for.shouldnt my check engine light be on?

Some codes do not pop engine lights

MAF sensorTPS sensorTEMP sensorO2 sensor

etc

ok i see what ur saying now.a quick quesiton.could the cts cause the car to act this way?the reason im asking is that is what im thinking it is

It might, code 13 is what your looking for

If your cts is missing/dead, your car should automatically turn on all the fans and your idle raised.

Check ECU, best bet.
