So Here goes.... car doesnt run anymore. Or rather, she's not getting fuel. As soon as she starts up, she sputters and dies. Can't even feather the throttle to keep the engine going. I've repalce the fuel filter, replaced the pump, and pulled codes off the ECU (codes 14 and 34). The only other thing I can think of is possibly frozen fuel lines, but I'm getting fuel to the filter. Not sure how to confirm that or what else to check.

On to the second part.... code 14 is for the Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit. I'm driving a converted 5spd with a 5spd ECU. Never had a problem with my speedometer so why that code? and Code 34 is for the Detonation Sensor Circuit.... thing is I just replaced that with a brand new sensor abou 4 months ago. Why is it still throwing that code? and could either of those problems result in me not getting any fuel to the engine?

Any input would be greatly appeciated.

Craig

small bump... anyone have any ideas? its curently sitting at -15 to -20 celcius so dont want to have to do too much outside, unless I have too. Also, no garage to put it in to warm it up to test for frozen fuel lines, so looking for some suggestions on another way to test for that.

Oh god, don't give the snuggie people any more ideas on what a snuggie can be used for... making ones for dogs was going to far in itself...

You need to check to see if fuel pump is running after you try to start. Still sounds like no fuel pressure or low pressure. Check you relays, check power and ground to pump for voltage drop. Also use a noid light to test for injector pulse to injectors. Test fuses.

Just want to give thanks to all the suggestions (even the snuggie... trying to find one as I speak ). Replaced the fuel pump, filter, tested the injectors, swapped out the plugs and it turns out i had about 3 liters of gas in my oil. i'm thinking the fuel pump is what caued the initial break down, and my own stupidity ofpumping the gas on a fuel injected vehicle caused the second problem. but is fixed and i learned my lesson.

Fuel, air spark compression. Make sure you have spark too. If it is fuel I would think the injectors are not gating on or the FPR is shot, clogged or something of the sort. I assume this is a KA?

Keep in mind a knock sensor code doesn't mean replace knock sensor. It means there's a fault in the circuit.

Listen to the poster above me.
