Ok guys so about a month ago my car started making a wierd sound only under acceleration NOT AT IDLE, it sounded like someone taking a screwdriver or something and tapping it in the front of the vavle cover. So i didnt even risk it and started tearing it down. What do you know the cams were a f***ed up. So upon further inspection we found out the oil line the feeds the cams oil had ben clogged. So i trailered it to a family friend whos an automotive engineer. And took a better look he had heard the car before we took it apart so he figured it was the cams so i ordered brand new rocker arms and Greddy Easy cams both IN and Ex. Putt those in correctly and bottoned it all back up and started her up......wasnt getting oil pressure. Changed the oil and filter (witch i should have done first) and got pressure and was spitting fine.

whoooo long story lol

But i digress. So with it making the same sound coming from the front of the top of the valve cover i got on here and used the trusty search button, found a bunch of topics describing my exact problem, they all said remove the timing chain guide's, so i did and what do you know same sound. No heres the question. We had it running and pulled the coil pack out cylinder by cylinder and one by one it still made the same noise under slight throttle. So we figured it wasnt a rod... So what in the world could be making this noise..

side note: when we installed the cams he collapsed the HLAS and said i'm going to collaps them all and lat them do there thing.

Whats making this noise?!?!

If it's not the timing chain guides, maybe a bad lifter or two, or loose timing chain. Check it out.
