hey whats up i have a 98 nissan 200sx ser and it has a sr20de in it. i want to get the sr20ve but would want to know how much hp can it make built.

As much as you have money for. A VE will get up into the 200whp+ range with the right mods without much trouble at all. Start swapping out significant internals and you can get higher.

Generally, though, the DETs are easier to get big power out of. What's your goal with the car? What will you be using it for?

i want have it has a daily driver. but i want something quick i wanted to get around 250 on all motor is that possiable.

Yeah, man try to get a VVL-SR20 or a SR20DET. You will get about 250hp if you get hedders,exhaust,intake, then maybe a turbo. Keep us posted and tell us what you think. u think i can get 250 on a vvl? i dont think im going to go boost at first i think ima get the sr20ve and build that and in the future boost the ve. were is the nissan meet in orlando?

Not without serious mods.

Honestly, a bolted VE or a pretty much stock DET will be plenty for a DD. Keep it simple. The more mods you have, the more likely you'll have problems. IMO, the VE makes more sense for a DD since it doesn't have a turbo and its associated parts to wear out, but either is pretty darn bulletproof.

can i use my sr20 de trans with the sr20ve. i want to change the pistons and rods and cams. what would you suggest would be go to go with for better performance.
