HELP PLEASE?

Alright so I recently purchased a SKYLINE BNR32 from japan. But I'm located in cali, where its illegal because of smog emissions. But once I have to car shipped here, I have made plans with a shipping company to ship it to my house. Would the feds still have to deal with me until I have it registered? or can i plop it in my garage until I have to money to register it? because i heard it was a s*** load of money? Please help me out here.

Yes. That car will most likely be exported on your dime! Have it shipped to canada and you may be able to sell it and make some of your money back.Plus if by some grace of god u got it through customs(not happening) Theres no one who can register it nemore.

definatly,sell it and get a r30 skyline there 100% legal,then swap in a rb25 or 26...

So i have a question, If i bring the chassi in, then the engine in a different way. Is that still not legal? or would i have to put a legal engine in? or should i just tweak it?

Still illegal and way too risky,especially now. Why didnt you buy one state side already?
