hey im thinking about getting an enging swap for my 91 240sx coupe i only got 2k now i want to know wut i need for a SR20DE-T swap and how much money i need to save for

Your looking at about $4000 for a completley stock swap installed. I would take caution in "cheap" SR intalls and motorsets. Personally i think installing a motor yourself it a much better idea, as its cheaper and you actually learn something.

don't forget about hidden costs too. such as wiring harness conversion (if you don't do it yourself). i'm trying to remember, but the 91's came with power steering, right? if not, you need to aquire a power steering system from a newer 240 and put it in. if you do it yourself, you can save a ton of money on installation costs. i would estimate about 4000 for parts, then you'd have to add in labor costs. if you want a good rough sketch of what goes into working on this swap, go to http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com. they outline an SR swap in the tech section

Definitely more than $2k. Hidden costs like tenkawa mentioned are bound to come up in the installation process. plus, depending on the condition of the engine, you'll need tune-up parts/clutch/etc.
