help please

i want to take the intake monifold off but it wont move a bit. all the bolts are off, so i dont know what to do. does this monifold even come off???

i have a ka24e. i have taken off all bolts!!!

there's a bracket at the bottom that supports it, it goes from the block near the motor mount to the bottom of the manifold. I'd gamble my money on you missing those. lawl.

i got that too... its driving me crazy. and where can i find a turbo manifold for a ka24e

I'll take some pics of mine this weekend while I am out @ the garage but if I recall correctly, there are at least 5 nuts and bolts holding the intake manifold directly to the head.

There may be 2 long bolts you forgot, they're a PAIN IN THE *** to get to, they are in the middle of the manifold, underneath all of the vacuum lines.

Did you pull 2 long bolts out, approx 8" in length? if not those are the ones you're missing.

as far as manifolds go are you asking about an intake or exhaust manifold? I got my SOHC turbo kit from IAP. JGS Tools makes a SOHC turbo kit as well and there are some other generic manufacturers whos names escape me at the moment. I used my stock intake manifold and it worked just fine. If your goals are at or below 450hp or so I would not reccomend spending the money to upgrade the intake manifold.

but that $300 will net you alot more performance elsewhere (namely in a lightened flywheel or upgraded cam.)
