Could somebody please tell me the easiest way to remove the alt. from my infiniti Q45. i'm havin a biotch of a time

Easiest way is to take it to your Infiniti Dealer or trusted mechanic. That's what I did last time. If you are going to do it yourself it requires quite a bit of work. The a/c compressor has to be unbolted and moved to get to the alternator. In case you didn't already know you have to get to the alternator and a/c compressor from under the car.

Hey turk, welcome to NICO.

Do a search in Infiniti Online Mechanic Forum fo rseveral helpful posts.

Do use an OEM rebuilt alternator so you don't have to repeat the labor in a year or two.

after you get the compressor unbolted ! where are you suppose to move it too. cuz i still can't get to the back of the alternator.

Just push it aside. It should move enough. I have done mine twice.I've got it down to a science! I assume you are under the car? No lift=No fun!

When I did it I didnt remove the AC compressor or anything, and I did it primarily from the top. It really wedges itself in there and once you free up the front and back it comes right out.
