97 240sx auto 58k all stock motor. I took my car to Nissan last week for a service engine light and was informed that I needed a new MAF. I bought one from the parts forum here and replaced my old one. When I reset the ECU, I got the MAF code and the light came back on immediately. Symptoms are rough idle, rpm drop when I shift into drive (car may die), car is in limp mode -2500rpm. Nissan also told me that I needed to clean my injectors which got done professionally. What do I do next?

Return the part and get your money back. The MAF is a variable resistor with 3 wires. 1 wire is grounded, 1 wire is the reference voltage, and 1 wire is the sensed. You'll need a wiring diagram with wire colors to know which wire is which. Verify you have 5.00V across the ground and reference wire. Then verify with the car off that there's continuity between the MAF sensed pin and the correct ECU harness pin. It kind of sounds like the ECU is not seeing a sensed voltage.

Actually, you can confirm this quickly first with an OBDII scanner, and then troubleshoot why.
