Hey guys first time in this forum, i tried to read as much as i could on the previous topics but nothing. I have rb20det with power fc, 720cc injectors, porche fuel pump, custom fuel rail, custom intake manifold, top mount gt3076r, stock internals, greddy belt and cams gears, fpr, z32 afm, '1.2mm head gasket, arp headstuds, the car ran great while stock for 2 years, after the new set up, it cranks ok sometimes take a bit but it still crank, and it drives ok except when letting of the gas sometimes it dies. friend of mine told me is the aac or the idle control valve under the mani, might not be wired correctly please if anybody has a diagram how to wire the aac or the iacv please help. maybe the afm but im stuck here, i cant wait to get it on the dyno and the road. WOW nice setup. Where can i get one of those intake manifolds!!!

If it dies when you let off is it like a looping then tries to stay running, or just flat OFF. 1)if it just flat out died when letting off i would suspect igniter, coils, wiring.2)surging probly means "air and or boost leak" aac can technically be a leak so possibly that or the "thermo type valve.(i dont know name for it)

I just saw u have power fc....... i want it so bad how much you pay for it. Is it user friendly? That also probly has something to do with it tune it up man. I heard its like playing a old gameboy with the controller haha.

Anyways sorry i got a little off topic id just try to work around it. Just clean your maf check for leaks and if nothing then set your idle higher. Im sure pfc has provisions for that. And if you built that car why are you even asking it looks Amazing! you gotta be able to fig that out.

thanks man, its taken me a while but slowly getting there, its like this i rev it up let go off the gas and then it goes way down and tries to come up again and then when i drive it it does the same thing but it dies most of the times, it just dont idle right it keeps coming up and down by it self,

the manifold i think it was ku engineering, and power fc $1,050. pretty user friendly, i got the commander and thats pretty nice you can do everythingi prob got 4k in the whole engine and i bought the engine for 900 in 2005. and the car bought it in 04 for 1500. and its been almost a year in the garage building it. i work a lot so little time to work with it.looking for the help cause it been so long i prob forgot how to put something back together like the hoses for the aac and icav.

Ur lucky mine wouldn't even start unless it had a huge vacuum leak lol. I think my injectors are clogged tho.

Id would say clean MAF fixes it mine had a similar problem. Brakeclean will do it preferably "electrical cleaner". Dang i paid 2000 for swap, 1000 parts, 2600 s14. And it dont look that clean plus its all stock U can build em. Im thinkin about going with greddy emanage with both harnesses. +-like 800$ I really wanna convert to E85/ethanol! Just gotta have a set up that can run it maybe safc and a tune for more ign. adv. could do it. Who knows good luck man and spray her out. Incredible build props for shur.

the head gasket is a greddy 1.2mm, and arp headstuds, no problem man post away the more people the better maybe i get a solution,i had safc before i just installed the power fc, it was ok, was thinking about the e manage, i think you can change it from maf to map, to remove the afm, that would be great, bad thing about rb20 power fc its gotta be the apex engineering and cant remove the afm, and it was hard to find and $$$$$ costly i think thats the most expensive mod in my car. this weekend im gonna try to clean that , but I'm still gonna need the wire diagram for the dawm idle control valve.

thanks for the posts

Even tho its like 650+ greddy emanage ultimate has provisions for idle control and even STALL prevention. I wonder how that works read it straight off their site.

Anyways i thought of another possibility. Not recirc. ur blow off can throw off map and tech ur running a piggyback. I dont know if you can turn it off or whatever but from factory it will run rich at idle.. yata yata surge do crazy crap.

First of all id like to say that this is a very clean swap and i love what you did to the car so far. I saw this post and had to make an account just so i could tell you EXACTLY why it's stalling when you rev the engine up really high then it stalls. I had thee exact same problem with mine and your going to need to recirculate your blow off valve because your venting wayyyyy too much air into the atmosphere and it should be getting recirculated. Almost all aftermarket blow off vales for the rb20det motors basically release wayyy too much air and the stock ones are actually much better and don't have this problem but of course don't sound as cool. i have a HKS SSQV and that sucker is really loud and i love it but it will need a recirculation kit and it should also slightly improve performance while going through the gears quickly because you will be basically releasing less boost to make it simple. you can buy these recirculation kits on ebay for like 100$ or so. Its hard to find good advice now a days and filter the good advice from the stupid BS so theres my 2 cents of advice and hope you can get that bamf of a car back on the road or on the track where they should be!
