Help please, I cannot open up my hood.

I just got a oil change about 3days ago and I was trying to check how the oil is but I cannot open up the hood anymore. It was working when I change my oil. Does it ever happen to anybody?When I pull the little button on the left driver side the hood does not pop up and the button does not go back any more, it stays there. I do here a sound when I pull it but the hood does not move. I also tried to hood the hood up when my friend pull the little button but still it does not work.please help, I really do not want to take it to the shop, it will cost too much.I hope I can fix it by myself.Thanks.

I've had this happen on my 240sx a couple times before. It seems like it just gets caught somehow from time to time. After you have pulled the lever and hear the click/thunk, whatever you want to call the noise, go to the front of the hood and push down on it. Sometimes it needs to be just a little pressure, sometimes a kind of quick shove. If this doesn't work, depending on the type of front bumper you have, you may be able to reach up in front of the radiator and mess with the release latch until it lets go. Hope this helps you.
