Help please, I cannot open up my hood.

I just got a oil change about 3days ago and I was trying to check how the oil is but I cannot open up the hood anymore. It was working when I change my oil. Does it ever happen to anybody?When I pull the little button on the left driver side the hood does not pop up and the button does not go back any more, it stays there. I do here a sound when I pull it but the hood does not move. I also tried to hood the hood up when my friend pull the little button but still it does not work.please help, I really do not want to take it to the shop, it will cost too much.I hope I can fix it by myself.Thanks.

Use a flathead with a rag and. Pry up on the Hood( don't damage it) with someone pulling Hood release multiple times. It should pop. Also how. Cold is it there. Here has been below zero 3 days in a row,release might be frozen. Also how tight does the cable real when you pull the Hood release? If you broke the cable and can't get to it under the dash try pulling out your driver side fender well. You should be able to get to it from. There.(just the cable)
