Any one ever used on of these. I seen it on ebay for like 50-70 bucks. It says that it puts out 450 CFMs and a T3- puts out 650CFMs at full spool. If you want to look at it they can be found at superchargerkits.com and on ebay under electric turbocharger. And i am thinking of getting the one off of ebay (the white one) not the one off of superchargerkits.com.

I just figured for a lil price if it only gives a few more ponies it might help gas mileage too so it wouldnt be a total waste. All opinions wanted.

I would be worried about it because at some points it is going to restrict airflow

hey bro i think we've had a thread up about this somewhere. do a search on it, and i'm pretty sure you'll find some info about it. if i remember correctly, it was a total waste of money.

Thats what everyone here at work was telling me, but i just figured that for only 50 bucks and if it only helps a little bit and helps my gas mileage a lil bit then it wasnt a total waste.:help

Why would it restrict if it is blowing air through at all times?

yeah because you can't run it at certain rpms and it would cause a restriciton up to those rpms

But since it is electric and if i had it hooked to a switch and waited 2500 rpms and flipped the switch, then i already have air going through my intake and then i hit the switch and add that much more air. Would that take care of that?

Sorry im just not understanding.

It doesn't blow enough pressure to overcome the loss of airflow due to the turbulance of the propeller.

But it Says that it blows almost as much as at t3 turbo(650CFM@full spool)and this puts out 250CFMs at 1/3 spool.

Well i guess my friends were right i jsut thought it sounded like it would work, my dad said i would have to cut my intake pipe do put it on and i wastn gonna do that i was gonna find a diff place to put it, like right b4 the MAF.

It is all confusing to me im not very F/I intelligent.

Torry, Ben and robbie were telling me about your car and the tail of the dragon. That sucks man, have you heard anything else about it yet?

Garbage.

If it worked, Nissan would've made it standard.

I've done some research on the ones that are being sold on ebay...it turns out that those are bilge pump fans...and they're not meant ot be spun above 2500 rpm's. They're also only meant to have 300 hours of use time. Combine that and the fact that they are made out of plastic, when the fans blades break because it's spinning at 6500 rpms and fly through your intake and into your engine....not a very good thing. They do make electric turbochargers, but the real ones don't push out 450 cfm...only about 100 cfm and they are about 3-400 dollars...just a warning
