HELP PLEASE! CAR TURNS OVER BUT WONT START!

Ok im stumped as was my friend. I get a call about an hour or 2 ago saying his hatch wont start. So i go over to take a look. Motor turns over but wont fire up. Fuel pump primes and gives fuel up to the fuel rail (havent checked past that) and i have spark. ECU is fine so my next step is to check the timing? Any other ideas as to why the car wont start?

I'm no mechanic by any means but sometimes when I cant get my ride(90 Ka Hatch) started, I unhook the neg batt terminal and reset the computer. In many instances thats gotten me back on the road. Might work for you too.

If if has fuel and spark, pretty much all that's left is timing and compression. Hopefully it's timing...

Try this open the fuse box under the hood and find the fuse that says fuel pump. Pull that one out and start cranking the car about 2 times and on the have someone crank it and and u put the fuse back in during the crank. I had that problem and thats what work for me. wont hurt to try.

are the injectors firing also? do the plugs smell gassed? is the engine spinning normally of fast?

unplug your maf if it starts then you need a new maf also check with a noide light to see in injectors are even firing...let us know what you find or dont find...

my car is the same way. i have ALOT of fuel. a huge spark from all plugs but i can only get it to turn over once or twice a day for a min or two at a time. and cant rev it at all thats just idle. its not the maf, not the enjectors, not the cam or any other kind of timing. im lost i dont know why its not starting.
