Well, it's a 10, so you can't expect too much.

If you want to get the most out of it, build a ported enclosure. Unfortunately I couldn't get the TSP's off the audiobahn website, so I can't model anything.

You can take a shot in the dark and probably come out OK though.

For loud, say 2ft^3 tuned to 35hz, but you're going to want a subsonic filter at around 30hz for sure...maybe even 32-33hz. This will keep excursion in check below 40hz. However, you will lose your bottom end for those low notes, for example, the low note in Lil John's Get low is right at 30hz. It will still be fairly loud though because of cabin gain.

For practical, I bet 1.25-1.5ft tuned to 25-28hz will work well. This will reduce your output most everwhere except between the tuning point of this enclosure and the subsonic filter point of the loud enclosure. For example, if you tune to 25hz, you will then have more output from 25-30hz. The smaller enclosure reduces output per given unit of input power because the woofer cone will not move as far per given unit of input power.

Long story short, larger boxes increase sensitivity, meaning it takes less power to hit X db's.

A port decreases a woofer's excursion at the tuning frequency, +- 1/2 octave from that tuning frequency in comparison to a sealed enclosure.

If your GF truely wants loud, she needs to step it up to a 15 or dual 12's. Ideally, a 15" with twin 8" mid basses.
