Ok, Here is my dilemma and I have searched this forum and others....
My '91 hatch (stock KA) was having rough idle issues and running rich, narrowed it down to leaky injector after good MAFs cleaning and new O2 sensor and a new fuel filter. Sure enough the o-ring on the #2 injector was torn, I got the seal kit, replaced o-ring and re-assembled everything. When I got everything in order and started the car; white smoke galore, it was like that injector was just dumping fuel in to the cylinder. So I made the assumption the injector was also at fault and purchased a new one (even though the last one was only a few months old, but it was a reman.). Disassemble everything and change the injector, it ran fine at idle for about 20 mins no misfire to now the cylinder is not functioning at all. I can hear the new injector tick, it is getting spark, I checked that first and and changed out the plug in that cylinder twice and moved plug wires around, and there are no faults in the ecu (just getting the standard code 55).
So I am now stumped and in need of some advice on where to check next.
