thanks to every1 for their input...finally got the problem fixed...turns out parts store gave me faulty thermostat...valves werent opening..put new thermo..purged system....and presto!!...no overheating...purging really big now in new cars and imports..so remember TO PURGE!!

just the cost of the original thermo from the dealership, instead of the parts store..which was about double the cost..but well worth the money

Something my Dad taught me to do, drop it into a pan of hot water to see if it functions first. It used to be common for them not to work so that is why he did that but it is something to consider now.
