Hey all,

Tuesday night (12/30/2003) my friend went to go see a movie at the Southwind 12 Theater in Lawrence, KS. When he came out, he discovered his car had been stolen. If any of you in the Kansas/Missouri area see this car or hear about it let me know:

1999 Honda Civic siRed exterior/Gray interior30-40% tint on windows

Notes:The "si" badge was removed from the car. The license plate cover was an AEM cover. It also had a carbon fiber dash kit. tinted windows, exhaust are the only visible mods. has an intake and shortshifter. plate=UNC980

Now I know this is a common car, but I'm shooting in the dark here. If you hear of anything, e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks fellas,

Nick :(

That totally sucks man. Did he have any type of alarm system? The worst places that you can park your car is at the movies, at the mall, or even at home. Places were you will be gone for long periods of time make cars prime targets. If you don't already know, your friends car is most likely long gone by now. Hopefully he has insurance.

I need to put in a short plug for some products that we are supporting with our network (from the company I work for that is).

Please go the Directed Electronics web site http://www.directed.com and look at the information on their new "Viper GPS Tracking System". This is a tracking system that allows cars to be tracked and found after they have been stolen. This is now available at Best Buy and Circuit City and a few other places.

While not a perfect solution, and it is a bit costly for some folks, it is the best thing you can do for stolen vehicles. We have already recovered a number of cars with this item and broken some car theft rings.

Yeah he has insurance. I figure the car is probably in pieces by now, but there's always hope. I think he'd just rather have his car back then have to go get another one with insurance money when he won't really get what his car is worth anyway. Thanks.
