Tomorrow I am going to get my first oil change and take care of all the re-calls. The problem is that when the service woman entered my VIN number only 2 recalls came up. The TPMS sensor and the CVT re-program. Actually the steering wheel re-call was the one I was most concerned since it can lead to a deadly crash.

NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008-2009 ROGUE VEHICLES. A SCREW IN THE STEERING GEAR HOUSING COVER MAY LOOSEN OVER TIME AND COULD FALL OUT. AS IT LOOSENS, THE STEERING RESPONSE OF THE VEHICLE MAY BE COMPROMISED BUT THE DRIVER WILL RETAIN STEERING CONTROL.

Sorry caps but I copied off a website. Anyways, should I get that done even though it didn show up on my VIN?

You may want to touch base with Nissan Customer Service at 1800NISSAN1 and find out with them. Ideally Steering Assembly Recall should come up for all 2009 Rogues.

Service on my 2008 this month came with both of these recall items - CVT/ECM reprogram and the steering gear housing cover. It could be they addressed it on the assembly line part way through 2009 so that only some 2009 VINs are affected, but I would definitely get this double-checked.

Just left the dealership. I asked the service guy and double checked with him and he said it didn't pertain to my VIN on the steering wheel re-call. I guess thats good, but I was willing to have it upgraded if need be, that steering wheel bolt.

Anyways, getting the re-calls done today. Only 2, the TPMS and the CVT re-program. I keep hearing about the re-call about the door in here. I never had problems so I ignored that on the most part.

Well I just called the 1800nissan1 number but Its the US number ooops, so they transferred me to nissan canada. anyway there are only 2 recalls on my 2009 Rogue AWD S, the TPMS sensor and the CVT rattle noise. I ask if there is anything regarding recalls on the steering wheel nut and they said since it does not show up on their system it does not apply to my vehicle.
