To All RB20DET OwnerCurrently i'm doing my project on my RB20DET manual, i'm upgrading to Garret T3/T4 turbine with 42mm external wastegate.

My question is, wat size of downpipe n exhaust pipe should i b running n i prefer my car to have more torque on low end, i guess is more suitable for town drive.

Currently i'm running 2.5 inche downpipe n exhaust pipe, can i still maintain this size coz my foreman advice me stick to tis size so that i can cut down on my turbo lag.

BTW, any idea wat's the pro n cons if i install d AFM after d intercooler?

Thanks.:stupid:

Smaller (read non-oversized) piping can help keep exhaust gas velocity up on n/a cars. Your car has this big restriction in the piping that negates any scavenging benefits from exhaust gas velocity called the turbo. Your main goal should be to provide as little back pressure after the turbo as possible. It will help it spool earlier and give better top end.

Cliff's Notes: Turbo car = bigger is better. Go at least 3". Ignore your foreman.

What did you not understand from CJ's explanation. It seems clear to me. Do big words scare you ?
