Ok, guys. I feel stupid, but I can't find the question i need answered anywhere on the forums. What year Sentra do I need to get an oil filter for to replace my oil filter on my SR? I thought it was supposed be early 90's for a redtop, but the filter i got was too small. thanks in advance for any help!

Make sure its a Sentra SE-R. Those were the ones with the sr20 the others had a 1.6l motor i think. But it is an early 90's (B12) se-r oil filter.

ok, here's a weird thing. i part matched the previous filter on the engine, a valvoline VO-33 and came up with K&N filter HP2008. The K&N filter is the same that goes in the 1.6l sentra. for the 2.0 SE-R, i ended up pulling HP1003, which is WAY too small and doesn't fit, period. The 2008 fits fine and doesn't leak, so I'm wondering if K&N has the wrong filter listed for the wrong engine now.
