I've been told that the Greddy Intake Manifold would actually make it a tad more laggy. The manifold moves the powerband slightly higher. So you would make more peak power but less low-end torque. One of Enjuku's cars made 450rwhp on the stock intake manifold.cheapscheisst wrote:the most crucial items to reduce lag - greddy intake mani, stainless exhaust mani(megan works great, especially for the price), stainless turbo elbow and downpipe, test pipe, and exhaust. air flow is everything.
Exhaust cutout..i had on my old mazda protege 5..i had a t3 mounted...had lots of lag..but when i got the exhaust cutout..i never had lag...my friend dyno'd tested..at 18psi..noticed a 20hp increase...he was running racefuel at the time.J3t wrote:Hi ive got an sr20det s14 blacktop. the turbo im running i got for a deal so i went ahead and took it. its .83 on the hotside and .50 on the cold side. i know thats big but i havnt had the car dynod yet so im not sure what kind of power im putting down. I would just like some help on how to spool a little quicker as i make full boost at 4-4.5k not exactly sure. Im running 550cc injectors with a front mount and other custom parts. Would it take building the motor and boring it out to achieve more pwoer and qicker boost response??
