get under and a pipe wrench, lots of pb blaster. And if you got a pace setter rembr to put put the EGR and AIV before bolting anything.

I actually wish I got the OBX, its the same as a hotshot except the ceramic coating. Mine was a pain to get in, hopefully yours goes in fairly easy.

as long as you dont have inspections there, and can get a plug for the hole. You might as well take the AIV and EGR off.

yeah screw the aiv all it does is cause problems and that pipe is impossible to get off. cut it as close to the bung as possible. get a plug from the headers manufacturer a 5/8, 3/8 cap and 2 more little ones for the solenoid lines.

Dude, don't worry about the aiv.I have the same header and the aiv won't fit when you put it on.All it does is get in the way.Just get the hole welded shut by a muffler shop and put that thing on.You'll feel a big difference in power when its installed

in that case take out the egr while your at it. NOx for everyone! although you need to reprogram the ecu if you do that.

I ran my car w/out either on my car and plugs in the holes for about 6 months w/out any problems. I only had to hook them back up to get my car inspected.

In order for you too get the EGR on to the header, you must first line up the header onto the head so that it just slightlyis slide'n of.You must then screw the EGR first before you even think about bolt'n it onto the cat or head.Once the EGR is screwed in,go ahead and fully press the header to the head. But don't bolt it on yet or else your gonna have loads of fun try'n to bolt it to the cat.Bolt it to the cat first and then go ahead and bolt it to the head work'n from the inner bolt to the outer in a criss cross pattern. After that, she's good to go.Oh there is one problem is that there might be a tiny exhaust leak,so go ahead and tighten the cat bolts preety good.

while recently removing my stock exhuast manifold i cut the aiv and egr unbolted the exhaust pipe and then started on the cat. i was pulling with all my might to break a rusted bolt free and realised what kinda force i must be putting on the bolts at the head so i stopped and jammed a block of wood between it and the frame rail. i then used my leg on the bar to break the bolts loose which is like having arnold schawrtzenegger do it with his arm. i took off the bolts at the head and it literally fell off. i couldnt have damaged those bolts much by leveraging it could i? fortunately im sorta weak and this was before applying the schawrtzenegger leg/arm technique
