Can i use plus or premium rather than 87 unleaded?

what year is your 240? cause I'm pretty sure the 89 and 90 takes premium as well and you should already be using 91 octane or higher man doesn't your engine make noises and feel bogged down at times? check your manual it says 91 octane or higher.

oh my bad, i have a 93' coupe. its a twin cam too unless that helps. yeah sometimes i get paranoid that my engine might fail due to the gas i use which is regular 87.

Usually we get questions asking if cheaper gas is ok, since the car's manual, etc call for premium gas. the Engine is designed to run best on premium, and can be run on 87 when necessary.,

well i you read the gas on the back of the gas door. it says to use premium if you want better performance but 87 is fine.
