I have CUSCO Camber Plate kit 253410A that is for Y33. Does anyone have experience with installation of this plate?

I like to know if I can use the OEM strut bearing between the top hat and the camber plate? or have to use the funnel shape 1/2" ring spacer that came with the CUSCO plate ?

I have finished the installation with funnel shape 1/2" ring spacer that was provide with the kit between the top hat and the camber plate.

Everything fit okay but the Q is sitting about 1/2" higher in the front and they don't look too good.

Thanks,

didn't even know they made them for our cars! Where did you get them, trying to solve the camber issue from lowering your car. I cannot remember your setup.

Where did you get them? what's your setup? Sorry I only have more questions than answers.

I have the ESPELIR set up with SR. I have already talked to tech support from CUSCO USA in Huntington Beach, CA.

Part #253410A Y33 is not available in the US because it's made for Nissan Gloria Cedric known as PY33,MY33 in Japan.

It's not made for FGY33 (97-01 Q45) application but it fits perfect and works fine with tighter respone without the rubber mount. I guess it fits perfect because of the chassis code is based on the Y33.

1/2" thick ring spacer ( like /\ triangle shape ring spacer) that came with it fit's perfectly over the center ring on the top hat and as it get's narrow to the top meets the pillow ball mount camber plate.

Only issue I have is that Q is sitting 1/2" higher with CUSCO plate due to the 1/2" ring spacer required to use to keep the space between the Top hat and the CUSCO Plate.

CUSCO USA said they can order the 253410A Y33 camber plate through the CUSCO Dealer to bring in from Japan.

I'm just trying to figure out if I can use the thin factory strut bearing to get that 1/2" back down to tuck under the fender without changing anything.

Wow, how did you figure this out dude? Good find, wish I could give you some help but I don't know anything about this, I know alot of people that put those onto their 300ZX's to fix the issue.

Where did you source??? Post up results when you figure this out, I would love to add those.

I am going to figure out something to make it happen because I don't like the way the front is sitting 1/2" higher than the rear.

I was thinking about building a custom adjustable Lower Control Arm (LCA) to pull the wheels in rather than use camber plate to push the top out.

Yes, There is No bearing on the CUSCO. Pillow ball work as a bearing just like the most of the coilovers.

I can see the nut holding my strut rod from the top turning with the pillow ball when I steer the steering wheel.

Most of the pillow ball type including coilover comes with ring washer just to space between the top hat and the pillow ball to prevent carving in to the plate since the plate is not design to move during the steering.

CUSCO Camber plate can be used for the factory set up or the coilover as long as you have the proper spacer to intergrate into the the set up you have.

Here is the photo I found searching for Images of " CUSCO Spacer" in Google

This is the actual part that I have with the ring spacer on the right side of the photo.
