Hey guys, I just got a I35 and am trying to take off that stock shift knob to replace with a super cool aftermarket. Please tell me how you guys take that sucker off, because I'm finding it extremely difficult. It appears that it must be pulled off. Please let me know asap, i want to install that new one on tommorrow. All good responses appreciated!

The stickshift itself is the screw, and the knob is threaded onto it...think of it as if the shift knob were a nut, and the stickshift shaft were a bolt.

A helpful tip is: wrap a towel around the shift knob(if you don't want to damage the factory knob) and us a pair of channel-lock pliers to break the factory glue seal, and remove the shift knob.
