i recently baught a 91 240sx fastback

i was wondering what i should really look at to fix

i really dont have the money to upgrade anything, here is a list of some problems-tires will need to be replaced soon-need a new exhaust from the headers back bc its rusting pretty bad

now i dont know what else is wrong should i just do a full tune up? or should i get the thing profesionally looked at just to make sure everything is good?

now i only have $150 right now and the moeny only comes in about $75 a week

so any advice will eb helpful

A full tune up is always good on a newly bought used car. I would say get the tires replaced first, then save up and get a nice exhaust system since yours is rusting anyways. Did it fail inspection b/c of the exhaust? If not I wouldnt be in too much of a hurry then, just save up and get something good.

Or you can buy my exhaust, its stock but I just put it on like a month before the timing chain broke

Ya. Get a full service. Make sure everything is ok. As for tires... well all you can do is buy more tires. Save up and get a new exhaust/header combo.

bah, that's bad advice... especially for high safety item as tires...on a rwd, fishtail-happy car... get new tires 1st...

Basic maintainence is always 1st on the list. it doesnt get more basic that Tires & safety equpitment. Save your money for tires, even 'cheap' tires arent cheap.

yea well, i havnt tried to pass inspection yet, but my uncles friend says he can weld my exahust up for me to pass e-check. then im just going to replace the thermostat and oxygen sensor there and just save everything else till summer where its warm and easier to work on my car and ill do the rest.
