Hey, First off, what kind of fuel upgrades do I need to do? I figured I will need to get a walboro 255 or something like that and a vortec fmu, but what size fuel pump and what ratio fmu do I need? Also can I use an Apexi S-AFC on the truck? If I can?t use an afc, what can I control the fuel with? I am pretty sure it is a speed density car using a map sensor, I haven?t had time to check. Do I need to upgrade injectors? If so are the injectors high impedence or low impedence and what cc should I get? I hope that I am going to be able to build the motor($$), so I hope to run a fair amount of boost(12-15psi)on a t3-t4. By the way, what is the stock compression in a truck? I have seen about ten different answers and am just not sure. How much power can the engine produce safely on stock internals? How much boost can you run safely on stock internals? I would really appreciate any advice, especially on the fuel tuning parts(afc or not). Should I change the ecu to a 89-90 240 ecu, harness, intake man., and change it over to a mass air system or just leave it speed density??? Any advice and help would be greatly apreciated and even though I'm new to this forum, from what I've seen on the other threads, everybody seems very helpful and friendlyThanks alot, Ben:help

Your truck has a maf sensor, it is on the side of the throttle body and is nearly identical to 240sx one. S-AFC will work on your 93 the same as it would 89-90 240. Stock compression is 8.6:1. Your injectors are top feed high impedence, basically same as 89-90 240sx and ka24e stanza, except with shorter pintle caps.

hey, thanks for the line.I really appreciate it, I was wandering what the best setup would be for the truck. I think I am going to just run stock internals for now, I dont have the money to buy rods and pistons plus everything to install the charger. Here are my questions, What injectors would be best?, do I have to move the MAF in front of the charger or leave it where it is?, whats the best charger?, what vehicle do I buy a fuel pump for?, FMU ratio?, if I run a t3-t04e what is a safe boost pressure with stock internals?, What vehicle do I buy a act clutch for? Also, what kind of power do you think it will make. One last thing, what degree should i set my timing advance at? I'm sorry fo having all the questions, but I wanted to get all the answers I can from people that have done this type of thing before. I really apreciate all your help. Thanks, Ben :)

Hey, I have figured out everything except whether or not that I have to move the MAF, what fmu ratio to use, whats the best charger for my application, whats a safe boost psi, and what kind of power it should make. Any help would be great. Thanks, Ben

Hey Smoke I'm in Savannah, TN were are you?

The stock compression is definitely 8.6 to 1. The stock rods are pretty healthy. Identical to the 240sx. Remember the trucks block and internals were cast in mexico. I'd say 10 psi is the limit for stock internals.

I have the Exedy clutch, centerforce dual friction is what I;d prolly buy if I had to do it again.

lovemysan2,Hey,I'm located in Johnson City, about an hour & 1/2 from Knoxville. Should I put in new pistons or just hone it and new rings? 10 PSI on what charger, maybe as big as a t3-t04e? or not quiet that big. U know anything about moving the MAF or leaving it where it is? Or the FMU ratio? Thanks, Ben

Hey smoke,

I've heard that a T3 off a Z31t is a pretty good turbo to get you started. Your old pistons should be fine if you don't need to bore the block just hone and rering it. As far as pistons go the stock KA has thin and closely spaced ring lands. They are the first thing to fail generally. http://www.sdsefi.com check out there projects page they have some good info over there about the limits of the sohc. I personally wouldn't go over 6-7lbs of boost without going to a forged piston.

As for the maf, you can get the adaptor for the truck intake from apc or FBIminis. Or you can do a 240sx intake swap. google search "kingjohnthegreat" he has done the swap on a frontier and there is also a guy on http://www.nissanminis.com who has done it on a hardbody.
