Replace all worn rubber (bushings), ball joints, swaybars, and some strut bars.

Get stickier tires.

Also, I don't think heel-toe is important in autocross because you usually stay in second gear the whole time anyway..

if theres a long straight you could get into third gear. even if you dont get that high, its still good to know how to. Learning how to will make you an over-all better driver.

Get an Energy suspension bushing kit... it'll save you alot of money.

VLSD = Viscous Limited Slip Differential

Basically it's an optional differential that came in the 240s that allows the power to be sent to both wheels not one. It does this by heating viscous fluid, which creates pressure to lock the differential.

1. Good tires are the best thing you can do to a car to make it handle better. Look for a max performance summer tire. Nothing "all season" will help you go fast.

2. Get a good alignment. Don't go to Joeys used tirepatch shop or anything. Go to a place that specializes in competition alignments. If they ask you how much you weigh to put proper ballast in the car during the alignment you are at the right place.Just tell them what you intend to do w/ the car and they will know what to do.

3. Messing w/ the bushings generaly kicks you into another class so check your local regs. for that. However make sure that the bushings are in good shape with special attention paid to the swaybar bushings. They're usually all crapped out (mine were)and not letting the swaybars act like they should. Check all this before you get the alignment
