help on 200sx

I'm new to this forum & had a question about what an evaporative vac solenoid circuit malfunction is. I went to autozone & thats what the diagnostic said. It said a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for the pressure sensor in the evaporative emission control system.Also, I'm wondering if that is it b/c my car smells like gasoline on the outside. I think the circuit malfunction might be why when I go to fill up my tank it keeps stopping as if I were topping off, even if I only have 1/4 tank...any help or input would be greatly appreciated!

I 'm not an expert, but I had my friend do a diagnostic on my car for a CEL. Turns out I had to get a new gas cap, so that may be your problem. Not for sure though.

did your check engine light ever come on? mine comes on

Ya it came on rather often, I had him clear it 4 times before I decided I would just leave it on until I got my new gas cap.

200sx like fwd? or old s12 200sx? the code sounds a little ambiguous, but i would venture to say you may be in the market for a vent control valve. they are cheap and easy to fix. go to the nearest dealer(or a nico sponsor) to get it. first you would want to make a quick visual check of the fuel sys. leaks, bug nests, etc.
