Ok here the deal my dad had my car sent to a shop to have the motor swap done the mechanics had no idea what they were dealing with, they installed the motor and transmission, and put in my new clutch and flywheel, and even plugged in some of the connectors from the lower harness into the transmission and just the plugs on the intake manifold( injectors, ficd valve, ect... ) and told me the ca18 would never work in my s13, so i had to finish the swap myself ( I'm 19 )I installed the intercooler, piping, relocated the battery, installed the walboro 255 fuel pump, changed the spark plugs, the timing belt, oil filter, oil, transmission fluid, did the vacuum following zerothread?id=219920 using "Shroomguy"s diagram but instead of having the charcoal canister i have a BOV. Did the wiring following the write up in the sticky, ended up having to replace the water pump do to leakage, the mechanics left a few grounds unconected one on the alt which i took care of and the ground tab coming off the starter I'm not sure they got correct ( pictures would be much appreciated ), thought i got done with my car tonight but seem to have ran into another problem, at first I unplugged the coil packs to prime the turbo with oil and the starter ground was off, hooked it back up and the engine would very slowly turn the crank with like with 3-4 seconds between, I made sure the ground on the starter was on good hooked up the coil packs and tried again started out slow put the motor was turning faster and just about started I tried again and nothing I can hear a clicking not to sure where it's coming from( not from the motor but by one of the fuse boxes, can't tell what it is ) the starter clicks once in a couple trys with the key but just for a second...... Do I have some sort of an electrical demon, bad starter, wrong plugs connected? I have no method of posting pictures at the present moment but will work on that tomorrow after work, pictures of the starter ground wire, tales of similar experiences and the fix are what I'm after for the time being until i get pics any help will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. sorry for the long post

It sounds a lot like an empty or dead battery to me.

no the battery is fine we even tried jumping it absolutely no response, and switching out the battery from a running 240sx with no reaction from the motor

it sounds like it could be the starter, starter solenoid, or an electrical problem. keep checking the grounds. The starter electrical should be positive (furthest from block), S-terminal, then negative (closest to block) IIRC..i'll try and get a pic for you if i can but i know i have a jumbalee of wires down in that area from making my harness to long

The s terminal on the starter is the one that I'm not so sure the mechanics got right( pic would be awesome ). I'm going to pull the starter the next day I have off of work and take it to autozone get it tested, hopefully when i get pics posted it will help provide information, if thats not the problem i'm not to sure where i'll take it from there, probably purchase another CA and KA wire harness and pay to have the wiring done done professionaly. what do you think?
