Help!! oil pick up had silicone spewing out!!!

Ok I rebuilt my head as the camshaft had rubbed the intake side cam journal real bad. Replaced the head with a new one but it happened again
Before that I had a noisy head sorted out tthe
Lifters but the tapping was still evident
Few days later get a screech from the intake side.
Same thing happened again intake cam journal scored heavily I decided to drop the Pan seems as the previous owner put loads of gasket sealer which could've blocked the oil galleries for the head as I pulled like an elasticated piece stuck in the oil pick up. Bottom Ends got oil as it wa pitch black but defo the top was lacking in oil & would it a goodn to put on a s14 pick up on my Ca18det engine
How on earth am I gonna get the oil galleries cleared up in cylinder block whilst engines in motor

Would the oil pump also suck oil via the pick up when turning engine by hand

It does, but not as much.
Just clean the screen/pickup off and you should be good. That's what it's there for. Spin the engine by hand and verify oil is getting up to your cams.

You didn't have an oil pressure dummy light going off when it was blocked before?!
