HELP! Oil Drain Plug Threads fell in oil pan

Hey the female threadding somehow fell in the pan when I removed the drain plug. Anything I can do besides get a new pan? Aren't the threads part of the pan? It came off awefully clean to have broken. Any help is greatly appreciated. p.s. nothing in the past about this, I searched. Am I the first?

i dont really know what u are talking about, but if u needed to redo the threads or whatever you could take the pan off and weld something new in.

if you stripped the threads, then jsut retap it.
