help, not sure where to start

i got this shell from a friend- he said all the wiring was good- all i did was put battery to trunk, ground in front and back, and install harnesses...when i put battery in the 80amp relay popped right away...what is normally the culprit?? any help is good...this is last part to my project and need it fixed...anyone in Dallas know wiring??
