Not really my first time here, but first time posting. So, yea I'm still considered a newbie. And o yea, i tried searching already...but heres my problem..

My lug nut is stuck on one of my wheel stud. I was planning to just tourqe it all the way so the stud would break and then just replace the stud. But when I was putting pressure to it the whole stud popped out of place. So if i try to take the lug nut off and turn it the stud moves with it. It's locked in there...like the lug nut and the stud are stuck together and my wheels can't come off...

what do i do?...i want to know if theres anyway i can get it out before taking it to the shop and spend money on something i can just do myself... please help...

damn that sucks... I've been there before, and its definitely not fun. Its easier if you have air tools and a lift tho... get under your car, and with like a crow bar, get some leverage with the frame or something and try to hold the stud in from the inside and air the nut out... or with a chizzle and a hammer, try to tap that stud back in the hub or something.

btw.... chances are, your hubs bad too...

reason being for the possibility of needing a new hub is that if your stud isn't gripping you hub, its because the teeth of the stud or the hub may be stripped or worn out. If you get a chance to take your stud out... look at the hub to see if it still has teeth, because you don't wanna put a new stud in there if you have a rounded hole (unless you plan on welding the stud in). Greg told me this, lol

if its a 4 lug hub your looking for... they're cheap online. Hell, people are practically tossing it out once they swap to 5-lug (literally! I needed a new hub, and I asked my buddy for his old ones, and he threw them away in the trash).

I bought a pair of rear 4-lug hubs for like $5 on the NICO classifieds

if you have access to a welder you can weld the stud to the hub.
