Need help! Don't have pics as my digital camera is in my office until Monday. I'll try to shoot and post them ASAP. Today was supposed to be the big startup day, but no dice. Got the engine to crank, but there is not spark. I pulled the cyl. #1 coilpack and put a plug in it and pit it onto the grounded intake manifold, and no spark. There are two connectors that look very important and I can't find a place for them to go. The first one that I am positive is the cause for this is the smallest, black 2 wire female connector from the ingitor chip with the prongs in a "T" configuration. I cannot find a place for it to go. Can someone please tell me where this is supposed to connect? The second, which I have no idea what it is for, is a grey, 8-pin (4 over 4 pin configuration) female connector coming off of the transmission harness rear the starter. Only seven of the available plugs in the connector are used, the 8th is blocked off. This also does not seem to have anywhere to go. The ABS is all hooked up already, so I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with that.Cartune/Neishlin did my main engine wiring harness, and third party sources tell me they hired Ken from Motorex to do it. Does the connector from the ignitor chip connect to somewhere in the main engine harness? For reference, the chassis and transmission harness are '95 SE w/ ABS. SR is '98. PLEASE-SOMEONE HELP ME!

Ok. forget the two mystery connectors. I hear the fuel pump whine, all the lights and everything work, everything has power, engine cranks, but no spark. Everything is grounded as far as I can tell, all the critical wires are connected. Where should I begin troubleshooting?

iirc the 2 prong connector is for the PCM valve... not needed

as far as spark... just make sure you have power to everthing that needs power. start readin' the FSM for all the major accessories. CAS, Ignitor, coils... etc

since someone else did your harness you should not be having this problem. make sure ECU and the big 48 pin plug are tight... and none of their connections have come loose. if not u should send it back or get som kinda refund.also check fuses...power for everything comes in that 48 pin plug by the ecu the fsm can tell you which wires are power... i cant be much more help since my motor is an s15 (same harness setup, but different colors and pinouts.

are your fuel injectors spraying?you should double check all connections... could also be somthing like bad ignitor chip etc...

Those are the plugs i had trouble with. Turns out one went under the fuse box and one doesn't go to anything.

it really sounds like you missed a ground wire. like godzilla said see if the injectors are spraying...

chase the coil pack harness... on the back of the head (for a s13 at least) there is a ground for the coil packs make sure you have that one grounded (bolts into the head).

IIRC I read at least a couple posts about no spark and it ended up that a ground was missed on either the engine or transmission harness OR wrong wiring but the latter is with DIY peeps.
