I've had the car sitting in my driveway for 3 months, waiting to be sold. About a month ago I disconnected the battery and put it in my basement, to hopefully prevent it from weakening in the cold weather. Well, today I re-connected the battery so I could run the engine for a few minutes, but there seemed to be no power at all to any of the electrical system. I put a booster starter on the battery and still no power. Did removing the battery for a month cause a problem with the ECM or computer?

ARe you sure the battery is putting off enough volts. Put a volt meter on it and see what you got.

The battery is reading between 10-11 volts. Do I need to replace the battery?

Yes, or just charge that battery up, and see if it will hold a charge.10-11volts isnt enough to turn the car over though.

Generally when they test batteries they check for 12+ volts, so you're a bit short. Try charging it, but I bet it's just old and won't hold.
