I'm tryin to get my throttle body off to clean it, but im having a little trouble, mainly because im a newbie. I took the 4 allen bolts that hold it on, but now what do i do about everything else, do i unplug that connector (TPS?), then there are a couple hoses in the way and a bracket that doesn't make this easier. Also, what do i do to get it away from the throttle cables?

If you are trying to clean your throttle body, leave it on the intake manifold. Just spray some O2 sensor friendly intake cleaner in it while opening the butterfly plate. Once it stops pouring black out of it, put the intake hose back on and start your car and let it run for a few minutes. It will probably spew black smoke for a bit, but its getting all the junk out.

hey!

that's one thing i forgot to do, i didn't know you had to wait for it to stop with the black stuff, i sprayed it about 3 times while working the butterfly plate back and forth, after that i just slapped the intake back on, maybe i should do it again....

Ya, you are liquidizing all that crap built up in the throttle body and intake manifold and letting it run back out of the car. The rest will burn up in combustion.

My friend has an 88 Bronco II and when i took the intake off his throttle body you could scrape the gunk off with a screwdriver and leave a deep trail in the crap. A few minutes and a can of cleaner later it ran much much better.
