Help! new here, fuel cutting out

ok, i have a few small holes in the top of my gas tank and was wondering if that might be the reason why the fuel is cutting out. no vaccum? i dunno, need help.

My vote is fuel pump malfunction. The holes only end up venting the tank.

If you're always running the tank with just a few gallons in it to keep the gas from splashing out of those holes, you might be causing your own fuel pump problem. The fuel pump ( it's in your fuel tank) depends on the fuel around it to keep it cool. If ypu're always running it low on fuel, that will shorten your fuel pumps life.
