2002 Pathy LE, 36K miles - I replaced the factory battery with an Optima (red cap). Everything works great ... except the moonroof. It now only moves inches at a time and stops. I can open and close it by repeatedly hitting the switch, but it obviously doesn't "auto" open and close by itself. I didn't see a fuse for it in the interior or exterior, but it's probably not that anyway, since it does work, just not properly. Any suggestions much appreciated.

push the button repearedly till it closes all the way when you get it to the closed pusition continue to hold the switch in the close position for 5 secs you should hear a click. now try to operate your sunroof it should operate normal again. BTW this procedure is in your owners manual.

I'm sorry I should of explained why that happened and what you were doing. What happens is if the motor looses complete power when it is open to any position it will loose its set memory[it doesnt Know where the glass is.] So you need to reset the limit switch in the motor. By doing what you did it reset it to know where the closed poistion is.

Had one of your windows been open you would have had to do the same thing with the motor in the window. except that requires you to remove the door panel of the effected window to gain access to the limit switch.
