Help Needed with Possible Transmission Issue (code P0776)

I have a 2013 Altima 2.5l SL with the same issues/error codes and can barely get it to go into gear and even when it does its in limp mode. Would a couple of Drain & Fills help me at all? Also would replacing the filters possibly help? Im really hoping it wont need a new transmission. Thank you for all this information! At least I know which direction I need to go and keep my fingers crossed its not in need of a whole new cvt

Put CVTz50 on it and see what's in there. The '13's didn't have the same materials issues as the '16~'17's, but it's possible it's just a bad Valve Body. Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, if there's a P17F1 then there's no shortcut to determine whether the belt is shot or it's just a bad VB. Get yourself a cheap borescope, drop the VB, and inspect the belt per this bulletin:
