the only difference between the two is color. i say get the black, but thats my favorite shade. & yes it will come with all bushings needed for the car. except the subframe bushings. for those i recommend getting spl subframe collars & then you will have addressed all bushings in the entire car. let it be known, that if you are trying to do this yourself it is alot of labor. i did not have any help with mine. it took me about 4 hours to disassemble everything, about 2 full days to torch, cut, remove, & press in the new bushings. it is alot of work, but well worth it. & btw its good that you are doing bushings first, it will give you a better baseline as far as testing goes when you install other suspension components

I read somewhere that the black ones don't squeak, not sure if that is true though. Also, this place has the lowest price I could find. I say buy it there or have FRSport do a price match:

i think thats a load of crap. as long as you grease the inner & outer diameters of the bushing as well as the id of the piece your pressing it into it shouldnt squeak. i have black & they dont squeak, but i lubed em properly. & the formula they use is the same for both colors, just diff dyes. but they are awesome & i recommend bushings as a first install on any car

from energysuspensionparts.com:

"Energy Suspension makes parts in 2 colors. Red and Black.

How are these two colors different?

The only difference between the red and black parts is that most Black Energy Suspension parts are Graphite Impregnated. This serves to help self lubricate the bushings. The Red parts do not have this characteristic. Aside from the actual color and the lack of being Graphite Impregnated - the red parts are essentially the same as the black.

I thought that the RED parts were harder and more performance oriented?

This is a common misconception. The red parts have the same durometer (hardness) as the Black parts and differ only in their actual appearance (color) and the fact that they're NOT graphite impregnated like the Black parts.

Why do people buy the red parts when they're not Graphite Impregnated like the Black parts?

In the end this is really because some people simplylike the color Red more than Black."

I don't know how much of a difference this makes, but there you go...

thanks nissan man . i did not know that my black bushings are graphite impregnated. so i guess that would cause less friction & they wouldn't squeak as much. learn something new everyday

sorry d-man, what you said was true about the black bushes not squeaking as much.

NO problem, I didn't have proof anyway just something I heard somewhere. Good to know that it is true!

Just did the Energy master kit on my 89 hatch, and it was a biatch!! BUT, it was so f'in worth it it's unbeleivable. I would not recommend payin someone to do it, seein how much time and effort it took. Still the cheapest (part wise) most cost effective suspension upgrade IMO.

if you are updating your caster arms, ruca, toe links, and traction links...

with that kit you will only wind up using only the the bushings for front lower control arm, rear lower control arm, rear kmuckles, steering rack bushings, and sway bars bushings. not much.you will need new ball joints too.

the only bushings that i didn't use for the kit are the rear knuckles, which I will save eventually for the z32.
