Hello, guys I need your help answering my questions.

1. Well weather texas is so cold i havent really driven my 240 around and I was wondering why does my belt make squeaky noises?

2. I'm also thinking about doing Kouki conversion on s14, but I heard some people don't need or needed bumper support whatever it's called.

3. Well my air condition stop blowing hot air in my 240? and only blows little cold air, but not much though. Can anyone tell me what kinda problem this is?

4. When should timing belt and gasket should be changed? I think my s14 is 166,xxx mileage.

1. Check health of belts. If cracked, replace. If not add belt dressing and tighten to spec.

2. I dunno, but I thought all S14 parts were interchangeable. Don't take my word for it though. (I drive S13)

3. Does your car properly warm up? If not, check thermostat. If it does, check piping or heater core valve and connection to HVAC.

4. KA24DE's have timing chains which CAN last forever. Check tensioners and for excessive wear on the chain and guides why removing top of timing chain cover.

Good luck!

Sounds like your belt is loose, that extra slack is causing friction.

Don't use belt dressings, those products only decrease the life of the belt.

For the kouki front, you don't necessarily need the big metal crash protection bumper (the thing most people call the bumper support) from the kouki, those are the same for 95-98. BUT there is a thin bracket that runs the width of the bumper that mounts on top of it, containing the mounting holes for the bumper cover (which most people call the bumper) This piece is different between zenkis and koukis. I just got the whole bumper and bracket assembly for my swap just to save trouble. This is one detail most of the geniuses on here will forget to mention, probably because most of them have never done the swap before. Some people who run big intercoolers don't even use any of this, I guess they just let the bumper cover hang by the fender mountings or something, so I guess you don't technically "need" it. But if you value your life and the cost of all those parts in your engine bay its a good thing to have.

Another thing I forgot to mention: the headlight mountings between zenki and kouki are different as well, you have to drill new inner holes for the kouki headlights, another little detail all the internet experts never seem to mention.

Nissan_Driver - would be okay if I drive about 10-15 miles to the shop? anyways I'm gonna replace timing chains, belts etc.

SX APPEAL- I see thank you sir. since I don't have a front mount cooler whatever. might as well bumper support but I am not getting the foam for it. Yes, I figure I would need new brackets for kouki it doesn't look the same.

Another question how much can I sell my 95 zenki front end anybody know?

1 replace your belts don't use belt dressing its makes them slip

2 direct replacement of all parts if you use the the zenki front bumper you will have a slight gap under your headlights

3 TAKE IT OUT and gain like 10whp or just recharge it

4 its a timing chain and you should replace everything every 150k

I don't see why not, but be very light on the throttle and no heavy acceleration. The less stress on the belt the better! :dblthumb:

As for you second question, prices vary from region to region I couldn't give you an exact price :gotme Here in AZ a zenki hood at a salvage yard would run you $40 on a rainy day, craigslists $100 - $300 maybe

I would say more, there is always someone out there willing to lay down the cash for something they want ;) Good rule of thumb, always ask for more than what you want :dblthumb:

Zenki body parts aren't worth much at all. You should listen to sx appeal about the swap he knows his s***. We have made a few trips to my parts car to compare stuff and make sure he has everything to get the kouki swap done.

belts probably need tensioned properly so if in good shape just adjust that.

1 Accurate, mostly

2 You can adjust the angle/height of the bumper to eliminate the gap

3 Stop saying stupid things

4 Accurate by the book
