Help needed before Turbo replacement.

Well, I just finished my SR swap and it turns out the ball bearings in my turbo were siezed up. I've ordered an S15 Turbo to replace it but I'm a little worried about putting on without knowing what caused the last turbo to crap out. Any suggestions on what I should check out before installing this?? Also, I found a little bit of oil in my intercooler hose running to the turbo, could this have somehow got in there because the turbo was not spinning? Thanks.

that oil was just due to the bad turbo maybe the seal went out on it seen it happen time and time again
