HELP need to swap in a KA in place of a Z24

I was helping out as friend, and well you know how those things go sometimes. We now have (2) 1990's One with a Z24 (4wd) and one with a KA24E (2wd) I am planning on parting out the 2wd and putting the ka in the 4wd....any thoughts, past experiences, etc?? I am mainly looking for such inputs as "don't do ......., make sure you check ......., no way in the world it will work, etc, etc. thanks in advance Brad

Where you will run into fun is with the wiring. It should otherwise be a direct bolt in. You are going to need a different oil pans as well. One from a 4wd KAE will work.

So, not to sound ignorant (I just got the truck delivered Friday, have not even looked under the hood!) I assume now the oil pan off the Z24 will NOT bolt on the KA? Am I correct? Thanks for the help. Brad
