Help- need to replace window regulator and need to secure Tinted window

Hi,

I have a 95 Maxima and about to begin the job of replacing the LF Window Regulator and motor.To those that have actually done this before, how do you secure (TINTED) glass once it is detached from the regulator track bolts while you remove\replace the regulator.?I have heard of taping, but my car has Tinting and I am afraid if I put strips of tape on the inside, it will rip or remove the tint.

the window is bolted to the track iirc. when i did mine (rear) i used a piece of wire, through the bolt hole in the glass, to hold it up tightened to the door. best thing would be a helper but i didn't have one.
