I'm sure him getting aftermarket wheels to replace the heavy steel wheels would make up for the gas used. In my experience, gas mileage won't change that much. My fiance had a Cavalier that I changed from a 195/70/15 to a 205/60/15 setup and the mileage didn't change. Same seems to be true with her CR-V she has now that I changed from 205/70/15 to 215/60/16. Going for a sticky performance tire is what will suck gas or going stupid wide (like 225-245). A good 205/60 touring type tire on a 6.5" wide wheel would give good ride comfort along with a little better handling. The tire won't look as much like a "balloon"NODES wrote:
