Hello,

Will Enkei RF1 fit my S13 Nissan 240SX? The dimension is:16X7, offset +38. Will I have fitment issue? One thing I'm not sure of is the hub-bore size. Almost all other Enkei I saw in their website is 72.62 mm and my S13 is 66.06 (from the Wheel FAQ). What kind of hub rings would you suggest (metal, poly stuff, etc). The tire size I would use would be 205/55/16. Would this tire fit 16X7 rims OK?

Thanks

Do you have coilovers? you *might* have coilover clearance issues, but it's a very small difference, so you shouldn't. Especially not with that tire size. (adding camber to a wheel/tire combo that clears at 0 camber could hit coilover at -x), but you shouldn't have that problem.

As for the hub rings... can't help you, ask Exarkun.

you'll run into coilover propblems with larger bopddies coils, such as the tein HE. but I doubt it, its almost stock, only about 5mm closer inside, so I dont think there'd be any real fitment issues.

as far as the hub ring goes, metal would be the best, but any good ring will do fine. VOLK/RAYS actually uses a teflon/plastic one that works really well...

cheaper plastics get dissintegrated over useage time though :/

the hub rings enkei will send with the wheels should be fine for street use :)

chunki is right about the camber, if you want to run excessive camer the inner edge of the wheel will get closer to the strut, possibly causing clearance issues, but since its a relatively narrow wheel, and close to stock it shouldnt be a problem.-chet

Thanks for quick replies guys,

My S13 has KYB GR-2 and Eibach pro kit. I'm not planning to use coil-over stuff. I will also use stock alignment (camber, etc). I did use the wheel offset calculator and it said the inside will be extended 11 mm and outside 15mm. Will this be OK? Another size of tire that I consider is 215/50/16. Will this be too wide of tires? I would like to keep the total diameter as close as possible to stock 195 or 205/60/15 tires. Regarding hub-ring, the wheels are used so I may not get the Enkei hub-ring. Who sells Enkei hub-rings? Is it necessary to be Enkei's? Or other metal rings will work too? Where can I get the rings from?

If you want to go wider and stay very close to 205/60/15 a 225/50/16 is a very good choice, what type of tyre are you looking for? Street/ Strip/ Auto-x/ Track?

ruf-jason,

This is for street driving and maybe some autocross. I would like to be as accurate as possible regarding the speedometer reading. On S13, which tire size is more accurate (205 or 195) for the speedometer reading?

doesn't matter what width. What matters is the sidewall percentage of x width.

stock is 205/60/15. i run 205/55/16, or 225/50/16

google for tire size calculator, it's on a miata site, it'll tell you exactly the speedo differences with aftermarket wheel/tire combos.

Chunki,

I did use the tire size calculator program. I'm concerned with the rim width of 7 inches. I guess 225 tire will be ok since it's 2 cm wider than 205 and the rim is 1 inch wider than stock rim. Would it be OK to fit 205 tire in 7 inch wide rim?

if you want to, sure. be a very mild stetch. Though it all depends on what kind of driving you want to do.

205/55/16, sure. Thats what I run on 6.5" wheels right now.

in the 7" with the 50 aspect ratio on a 225 is perfectly acceptable...7-7.5" is ideal, a 205-55-16 works fine also...since in a 205-55-16, 6.5 to 7" is 'ideal' according to MAST...-chet
