HELP!! need new alternator for redtop SR

Does any one know where to get a new alternator or what is a exact drop in substitute in 93 240 with redtop SR20det ?mine the diodes in regulator are shot !! do not want to rebuild ,didi itonce and it still popped. just wantto put an new one in. any help would be great. thanks.

I have heard that the DOHC alternators will work with the SR's if you change the pulleys. Anyone able to verify this?

I used my KA-DE alternator. Had to swap pully and grind a little flange off behind the pulley so it wouldn't bind. The SR pulley is 5 rib and the KA is 4. You also have to use the KA tensioner.

I was able to make the switch in about 30min., but the motor was out of the car at the time. AND, that is not exactly "drop in".
