I went to a local shop to have my oil changed and to check my car because it is missing idle sometimes. The mechanic said that the injector connectors needed to be cleaned. The mechanic wanted $140 to clean them so i think i will try myself to clean them myselfbut i never messed with any infector are anything like that so can anyone tell me how to do this process ? I know where the injectors are but what is the connectors?

as far as I can tell, he is talking about the electrical connectors to the injectors. a quick way to tell if they're causing you problems is to wiggle them while the engine's running. if anything happens, take them off and look for dirty connectors and clean them with whatever electronics cleaner you can buy for a couple bucks and some steel wool/fine sandpaper.

if he's talking about whatever connects the injectors to the fuel rail, I'm substantially less help on the subject, but try doing the above, and maybe clean your MAFS with some rubbing alcohol. if that doesn't fix it, maybe someone else will have another suggestion.

The only reason you would need to take them off is if they are leaking or stuck in the open position (determined by a code on your ECU). Clean them out with electronics contact cleaner and put a small ammount of dieletic grease (usually used for spark plug wires) to help maintain good contact and keep it clean.
